PROGRAM

Crew 2013’s Chopped Cookoff is an annual competition between local Venturing Crews. Crew presidents coordinate their teams to go head to head in a cooking competition based off the cooking-reality show, “Chopped”. With a wide array of ingredients at their disposal, each crew is challenged to create the best dish possible for a total of five rounds. Secret ingredients are pre-selected by participating Crews’ advisors and must be incorporated into each dish.

GROUPS

All venturers and advisors are welcome to register! Chopped works around teams of 4 venturers. Team members will be from the same crew, except in the case of odd numbered registrations, in which case multi-crew teams will be created. An individual Crew must have at least one team, but can have as many as four. Venturers can form teams within their Crews before arriving at Chopped.

This is a fun event for youth new to venturing! Your friends are welcome to register even if they haven’t joined a crew yet! Just make sure they note your unit number when registering so they can be on your Chopped team!

As registration stands, each Venturer will be required to provide his/her own transportation to and from Chopped Cookoff 2017. Please contact your advisor if additional transportation support is needed.

Venturers will not be permitted to leave Patapsco State Park before the conclusion of Chopped Cookoff 2017 without express permission from their legal gaurdians.

This event will last approximately 5.5 hours. BSA Medicals Part A and B are required. Please make sure that these are on record and up to date. Our Crew Medic is Aunt Tammy.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are registering online, you do not have to turn in a physical permission slip for this event. If you are paying in cash, out of a scout account, or via check, please print out the permission slip and submit it. Youth can not attend the event without a signed permission slip (either online or physical).

This is the case for all events and activites held by Crew 2013, unless held on a Private Individual’s Property. If an event or activity is being held on a private individual’s property, this permission page will note that, and all attendees will have to submit a physical permission slip regardless of their method of registration.
